Ten-4-Friday

Ten-4 and one hundred. These are connected numbers in a peculiar way. Broderick Crawford, a tough and gruff Philadelphia-born actor, would have been 100 years old on December 9 of this year, 2011. That is, if he hadn't died of a stroke at age 74...

A Paquin Tat
10-4, a common police radio phrase meaning OK, was almost a signature line for Crawford in character as Chief Dan Matthews in the TV series Highway Patrol. That show, set in some unidentified western state, starred only BC as a crime solver of the first order. All of the other actors in the series were fillers by definition. Inane by today's tastes, Patrol entertained many Americans of that era. Many of whom are also dead.

So far, this week has been taken over by Anthony Weiner and Crystal Harris. Both heart breakers. Tough Tony has now resigned from Congress and he should be moving nicely towards hell in trying to humanize Huma, his wife. Crystal, on the other hand, has freed herself from the hell of waking up next to a man 60 years her senior. Indeed, she had a change of heart and nixed her wedding with Hugh Hefner, planned for tomorrow.

Consequently this foray into the abyss of nothing today must start with a ten-four, ten pictures of beauty for Friday. http://thingsthatexciteme.tumblr.com/ Ten-Four-Friday, hmmm, TFF. Think of this as sorbet between news courses...

Alrighty then, off to the day. A little stretching, some coffee, the news....wheeeeeee

Ooops, almost forgot, 10-4, er, TFF!
