Ms. Abedin is in the early stages of pregnancy. Among others, the New York Times says so. Such news is almost always great news that's fit to print. As is her custom, Huma has been tight lipped. It is NOT her job to talk. Quite the opposite, in fact, managing the Secretary of State's minute to minute affairs is not a chatty job. Oh, the "body woman" (as she is respectfully called) is excellent at doing Ms. Clinton proud.

Attractive, intelligent, slim and dark haired, Huma was a "catch". She was courted and wooed, but specifics are blurry.  Remember, she is not an open book. Somehow, the Don Knottsian Anthony Weiner won her attention and her heart. On July 10, 2010, they married...

• Anthony has been caught sexting with women other than his wife
• He has been sexting both before and after his marriage to Huma
• The last ten days have been a disaster, what with Anthony making a fool of himself every which way
• The Congressman, has declared the marriage is still on
• He acts like all is well with Huma, but she has been silent
• And now there's a baby...

...is to be scorned.

So, has Huma Abedin been scorned? Ah, now there's a conversation starter. Are Weiner's dalliances akin to adultery in his heart? In 1976 Jimmy Carter, was interviewed by Playboy Magazine. He said,

...Christ said, I tell you that anyone who looks on a woman with lust has in his heart already committed adultery. I've looked on a lot of women with lust. I've committed adultery in my heart many times.... This is something that God recognizes, that I will do and have done, and God forgives me for it. But that doesn't mean that I condemn someone who not only looks on a woman with lust... 

Back then, Carter's blab caused a predictable stir. But ultimately it was, at best, just a stir because without a done deed, there was no crime, no deviation. There was no cheating. Is the Weiner case similar? Without a done deed, there is no crime, no deviation and consequently, no cheating?

Hmmm. Anthony has been more interactive than Jimmy could have ever been. In distinction to Jimmy, Anthony has "spoken" with his ideations. In this way, Weiner's girls are more REAL than Jimmy's. As an aside, the Internet was pure science fiction in 1976. But, as far as it is known for his post marriage forays, there has been NO physical contact, no actual sex, no consummation per se by Mr. Weiner. It follows that there has been no actual cheating... right? Right??

Rather than condemn Weiner, perhaps he should be excused for just being a modern man. Just as Carter ogled pictures of Playmates, Weiner ogled through the technology of the early twenty-first century. And who, under the age of 40, is not so connected to that technology? And who is in the sanctimonious position to throw stones at the beleaguered public figure for what are, in the worst depiction, not actual bad acts?

On the other hand, maybe it is plain wrong for a man to have any ideation or desire for a woman other than his wife. Once married, a man should only desire his espoused. Marriage necessarily turns off the notion of strange. Like a T-bone sates hunger, like a T-booo.... A nice concept this is, but.... it doesn't work. No, it doesn't work. And there's the eternal rub. Men like to ...fill in the blank... women. It's biology.

Women are beset with decisions when their men dalliate. (Yes, this a new word.) Most ladies will have a dumping point.

• One and done is popular.
• Three strikes and you are out is pithy.
• If it weren't for the kids... is common.
• Others choose to retaliate, if a dump is not applied. Revenge affairs, emotional isolation, verbal abuse and even food poisoning are options left to a scorned woman.

1. Maria Schriver dumped Arnold Schwarzenegger after he admitted an affair with their housekeeper. He further terminated by adding on that he had a love child with her (the housekeeper, Patricia Baena).
2. Anne Sinclair stayed with and supported Dominique Strauss-Kahn. Kahn is a know dalliator, but he upped the ante when he was charged with attempted rape of a hotel maid. French women are different. Oui?
3. Yeah, two, but three is Hillary Clinton. Look up, Standing by your Man. No written definition needed, just an image... hehe

Only time will tell how Huma Abedin will go...

Men are weak, weaker than can be imagined when it comes to these heady matters. As a group, they are willing to make patoots of themselves and everyone around them when it comes to biology. Egads. Maybe the female preying mantis, who bites the head off of her copulating and ejaculating lover, has something to share? Maybe men are really only good for one thing and one time use? Disposable... as a razor. Where do all those razors end up, anyways?
