The Honda CRZ Hybrid is now out and ready for purchase. If you're a fan of the CRX, you'll seemingly love the sporty hybrid CRZ. Perhaps the coolest thing is the big aggressive grill. I almost puked when I saw this eBay photo. That's no place for a license plate. The concept car shows the Honda "H" in the middle of the grill, while the released vehicle shows the "H" on the front fascia.

Say it aint so. Yuck. OK, of you were looking for a reason not to buy this sporty two seater, you got it. Besides the gas mileage of 31/36 is rather paltry considering the CRZ weighs 2800 pounds and it is a HYBRID.

Honda had a nice idea with the 2 door, 2 seater Insight.

Mileage was spectacular, averaging in the 50's. After ceasing production in 2006, Honda reintroduced the name and made a 4 door Insight in 2009. This offering has competed poorly with the Toyota Prius. Now it's new 2 door, 2 seater CRZ looks as if it doesn't measure up well to the old Insight, at least in regards mileage. A step forwards and two steps back.

Doesn't really matter in any event if you can't get over the license plate debacle. So it goes.
